To train a computer vision model you need a lot of images. White Box supports annotate photos.
White Box Image Annotations makes labeling images for training machine learning models easy.
Start a new project
You can create a new project by clicking on the top right plus the symbol Icon.
Object detection or classification?
A classification model can tell you what an image is and how confident it is about it’s decision. An object detection model can provide you with much more information:
- Location The coordinates and area of where the object is in the image.
- Count The number of objects found in the image.
- Size How large the object is with respect to the image dimensions.
Object detection
After your bucket is created and named, it will prompt you to choose an annotation type. Choose Localization, this enables bounding box drawing.

Classification
After your bucket is created and named, it will prompt you to choose an annotation type. Choose Classification.

物体检测还是分类？Object detection or classification?
一个分类模型（Classification）可以告诉你一个图像是什么，以及它对自己的决定有多大信心。一个物体检测模型（Object detection） 可以为你提供更多的信息。
- 位置 物体在图像中的坐标和面积。
- 计数 在图像中发现的物体的数量。
- 尺寸 相对于图像尺寸而言，物体有多大。
